Islamabad, Feb 28: Pakistani low-cost carrier Fly Jinnah is set to expand its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the launch of daily non-stop flights between Islamabad and Riyadh, starting March 30. This new route will connect Islamabad International Airport with King Khalid International Airport, further strengthening the airline’s presence in the Kingdom and catering to the growing demand for travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Fly Jinnah, a joint venture between Pakistan’s Lakson Group and the UAE-based Air Arabia Group, has been steadily expanding its international operations since obtaining flight permits in October 2023. The airline has rapidly increased its presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, with a focus on enhancing connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Following the successful launch of non-stop flights between Lahore and key Saudi cities, including Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, this latest expansion is another step toward solidifying Fly Jinnah’s position as a competitive player in the low-cost travel sector. A spokesperson for the airline emphasized its commitment to providing affordable and convenient travel solutions while fostering stronger cultural and economic ties between the two countries.
Operating a fleet of six Airbus A320 aircraft, Fly Jinnah has built a strong domestic network across major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta. In addition to its Saudi expansion, the airline also operates double daily flights between Lahore and Sharjah, reflecting its growing international ambitions.
With Saudi Arabia being a key destination for Pakistani travelers, including religious pilgrims, workers, and business professionals, Fly Jinnah’s latest move is expected to offer greater travel flexibility and cost-effective options, further strengthening air links between the two nations.
