Islamabad, Nov 1: Food Asia Expo in Karachi Sees Over $10 Million in Business Deals Signed. According to the organizers, approximately $10 million worth of commercial deals between local and international firms in various categories were registered during the 17th edition of the Plastic Packaging, Corrugated, and Food Asia International exposition and conferences.
Local delegates and visitors in the food and related industries have responded overwhelmingly to the various exhibiting firms from Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, China, and Iran, signing various commercial agreements and memorandums of understanding for future strategic relationships.
According to Uzair Nizam, director of Ecommerce Gateway, the remarkable turnout of local and international exhibitors and delegates is evidence of the food industry’s remarkable expansion and thriving economic activity. He went on to say that local food producers will benefit from innovative packaging technology.
Food security is a crucial issue for any country and nation to attain a self-sustainable level on a priority basis, according to Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President of Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan. The development of the food and related industries is impossible without technology and innovation, he continued, but the event still plays a vital role in giving all stakeholders a stage on which to advance the development of these industries in Pakistan.
The Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Dahrejo, officially opened the 17th edition of Plastic Packaging, Corrugated, and Food Asia International on October 29.
This trade show has around 225 exhibitors from seven different nations. As key partners, local organizations such as the Karachi Association of Sweats and Nimco and the All Pakistan Restaurant Association provided assistance for the event.
