Islamabad, Nov 6: Food Authority Disposes of 2,560 Liters of Contaminated Milk
The campaign against suppliers of contaminated and poor-quality milk goes on in different parts of the city
with the vendors coming from various directions such as Gajju Matah, Babu Sabu, Adda Plot, Thokar Niaz Beig, Ravi Bridge and Jallo Mor.
Besides telling farmers to stop selling or using the infected milk, officials resorted to levying steep fines on the offenders in order to prevent them from repeating the mistakes.
DG Food Authority Asim Javed wants inspections to safeguard public health from the effects of adult like added water, powders and lower fat levels which are likely to cause stomach, liver and intestinal diseases.
The ongoing efforts are in line with the Food Authority’s intention of providing safe dairy products consumers.
