Islamabad, July 24, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held an important meeting to talk about changes in the higher education system of Punjab. Many key decisions were made to improve colleges and universities across the province.

In the meeting, the Higher Education Department gave a full update. It was decided that three big foreign universities — Government College University, Government College for Women University, and University of Engineering and Technology — will be made into model campuses. These will act as examples for others to follow.

Officials told that many top foreign universities want to come to Punjab. Names like University of London, Brunel University, University of Gloucestershire, and University of Leicester from UK, and universities from South Korea and Kazakhstan are interested in starting their campuses here. Maryam Nawaz welcomed this idea and said it will help improve Punjab’s education image in the world.
