Islamabad, Nov 4: Forest Fire in Bara Hotar, Lower Galiyat Successfully Contained by Rescue 1122. Rescue 1122 Abbottabad and local officials responded quickly to suppress a fire that broke out yesterday in the deep woodlands of Bara Hotar in Lower Galiyat.
Additional Assistant Commissioner III, Shamim Ullah, DSP Galiyat, local police, Rescue 1122, forest department officials, and local government staff were instructed by Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Sanaullah Khan to arrive at the spot and handle the situation. Within two hours, the fire was contained thanks to the cooperation of the locals.
Underscoring the importance of forest protection in the area, Additional Assistant Commissioner Shamim Ullah declared that anyone guilty for igniting the fire will face severe consequences.
After receiving the alarm, Rescue 1122 sent out 12 firefighters and three fire engines.
But because of the difficult terrain and dearth of accessible roads, rescue personnel had to walk through the area.With the help of nearby people, firefighters were able to use traditional ways to contain the fire after three hours of unrelenting labor.
