Islamabad, Jan 11: Fort Lauderdale Flight Crew Reports UFO Sighting in the Sky On December 23, an unusual encounter occurred over the Bahamas, leaving those involved with more questions than answers.
Cassandra Martin, a flight attendant for Surjet, was on a routine flight back to Fort Lauderdale when the extraordinary event took place.
Miami air traffic control alerted Martin and the other pilot to a foreign object near their empty jet.
Initially, Martin saw only one object, but the pilot pointed out three. Eager to document the sighting, Martin quickly grabbed her phone, pressed it against the window, and filmed the mysterious object.
According to Martin, the object began as a white shape before shifting to a green hue, almost resembling something electric in nature, surrounded by an energy-like field. Despite their altitude of 43,000 to 45,000 feet, the object remained visible for around 45 minutes before vanishing. This peculiar behavior defied explanation—far too high for a drone and too erratic to be a weather balloon.
The footage captured by Martin only added to the mystery. “It was a glowing, spherical object darting about,” she said, leaving them both stunned and bewildered. “I don’t have the qualifications to explain what it was,” Martin admitted, reflecting on the surreal nature of the encounter.
Bryan Bender, a defense expert and former Pentagon correspondent, weighed in after watching the video. He likened the sighting to a phenomenon described by military pilots over the past decade: spherical objects, sometimes referred to as “Tic Tacs,” moving at high altitudes with an ability to maneuver in ways that defy conventional physics. The question remains: are these unidentified objects the result of advanced technology by foreign adversaries, or is there another explanation?
The Pentagon has long maintained an office dedicated to investigating these unexplained sightings, emphasizing the importance of understanding these unidentified anomalous phenomena for both national security and aviation safety. The incident over the Bahamas is just one more example of how our understanding of the skies continues to be challenged.
Martin described the experience as both eerie and fascinating. “It was daunting,” she said, “but also amazing to witness and capture something so perplexing.” The encounter has left both her and the aviation community pondering what exactly they saw—and what else might be out there.
