Islamabad, June 20, 2025: Famous television actress Asma Abbas has opened up about experiencing a severe allergic response after undergoing a skin cauterisation treatment aimed at removing freckles.
In a recent video posted on her YouTube channel, the renowned artist — who is the mother of actress Zara Noor Abbas and the elder sister of legendary star Bushra Ansari — spoke about the condition of her skin after the procedure went wrong.
Sharing her struggle, Abbas said, “I had been dealing with dark spots on my face for a while, and it’s something that runs in my family, but unlike others, the marks appeared on my face — and given the demands of my profession, I decided to seek medical advice.”
She explained that a skin specialist recommended cauterisation as a solution. However, the night before the session, she applied a random facial mask, unaware it might cause complications.

“After the treatment, I suddenly developed a severe allergy, where a large part of my face turned red,” said the Dastak star.
Although hopeful for a speedy recovery, Asma Abbas has asked fans and well-wishers to keep her in their prayers.
