Islamabad, Aug 1, 2025: The government has officially slashed fuel prices in Pakistan, announcing a major decrease of Rs. 12.84 per litre in high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next two weeks, while the petrol rate will remain steady. These revised prices will come into effect from August 16, 2025, bringing partial relief to transporters and industries that heavily rely on diesel.

As per the notification from the Finance Division, the new rate of high-speed diesel is fixed at Rs. 272.99 per litre, whereas petrol continues to be available at Rs. 264.61 per litre. In addition, kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs. 7.19 per litre, and light diesel oil has dropped by Rs. 8.20 per litre, offering some respite to households and small businesses.
