Islamabad, Aug 13, 2025: The DAAD PhD Scholarships 2026-27 are now accepting applications, offering fully funded opportunities for doctoral studies and short-term research in Germany.
This prestigious program by the German Academic Exchange Service provides scholars with financial support, access to top research facilities, and the chance to work under leading academics.
There are two main funding options:
- Research Grants – Doctoral Programmes in Germany: Covers full expenses for PhD candidates at German universities or research institutes.
- Research Grant in Germany: Short-term funded research from 2 to 12 months for doctoral students, and 2 to 6 months for postdoctoral researchers.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have an MS or MPhil degree with strong academic performance. They must also secure admission to either an individual doctoral project or a structured PhD program.
