Islamabad, 16 June 2025: Fully Funded Research opportunities are now available in Singapore through the prestigious Lee Kong Chian Research Fellowship, a six month residential program dedicated to the study of Southeast Asian history.

Designed to support academic inquiry and deepen understanding of Singapore’s historical records, this initiative invites both local and international researchers, historians, and scholars to engage directly with rare archival materials.

Hosted by Singapore’s National Library Board, the fellowship provides access to the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library and the National Archives of Singapore, offering a rich trove of resources covering the region’s political, cultural, and social evolution.

Selected fellows will reside in Singapore for the duration of the program, enabling them to focus entirely on their academic work with institutional support and professional guidance.

The fully funded research program includes a monthly stipend of SGD 3,500, along with a relocation allowance of SGD 1,500 for international fellows.

Travel and accommodation expenses often significant barriers to global collaboration are also reimbursed by the host organization, making it one of the most accessible academic opportunities in the region.
