Islamabad – May 1, 2025: Gearbox Entertainment has unveiled a deeper look at Borderlands 4, revealing the game’s explosive features ahead of its September 12, 2025, launch.
Creative Director Graeme Timmins revealed details about the new gameplay, featuring thrilling combat, two new Vault Hunters, and the chaotic, dangerous planet Kairos.
Borderlands 4 introduces players to Kairos, a world ravaged by conflict and controlled by the tyrannical Timekeeper.
This vast planet is teeming with warring factions, dangerous wildlife, and a desperate population.

Six years prior to the game’s events, a rogue moon disrupted the planet’s orbit, releasing Kairos from the Timekeeper’s control.
Now, players will join four new Vault Hunters, each with distinct skills, to lead a rebellion and challenge the oppressive regime.
Among the new characters are Vex, the Siren who wields supernatural powers, and Rafa, the Exo-Soldier with an exo-suit capable of generating devastating weapons.
The new Vault Hunters come with advanced skill trees, offering a wide range of abilities to enhance combat tactics.

Players can also experience a broader set of movement abilities, such as gliding and double-jumping, which enhance the gameplay dynamics.
The game also introduces fresh loot, weapons, and combat mechanics, including new manufacturers like Order, Ripper, and Daedalus, each offering distinct characteristics.
Additionally, the Borderlands 4 world is designed for co-op multiplayer, supporting up to four players with dynamic level scaling and drop-in/drop-out action.
Gearbox also promises challenging boss fights, more intuitive loot farming, and an expanded customization system.
Fans of the franchise can expect new gear slots like Ordnance and Enhancements, allowing further build specialization.
