The 2026 DAAD AgEcon Scholarships for Developing Countries including Pakistan are now open for applications. Funded by the German Government, this program allows talented students from developing nations to study for a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.
The scholarship provides a full financial package worth €11,904 per year, covering tuition fees, living allowance, health insurance and travel expenses.
Who Can Apply?
- Applicants must be citizens of developing countries.
- Should have at least two years of relevant professional experience after completing their Bachelor’s degree. Academic qualifications must be less than six years old.
- Should not have lived in Germany for more than 15 months before the deadline.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related subject.
- English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90) is required.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful candidates will enjoy waived tuition fees for the two-year Master’s program, monthly stipends (992 euros for graduates, increasing to 1,400 euros for doctoral students from February 2026), health and accident insurance, and travel allowances. Additional benefits such as rent subsidies and family allowances may also be provided.
