LAHORE – July 10, 2025: The Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister’s Youth Program, offering 20,000 motorbikes to students across the province. The initiative includes 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 electric bikes, to be distributed on interest-free installments.
The government has allocated a Rs 1 billion subsidy, covering down payments and markup costs through a financing partnership with the Bank of Punjab.
According to officials, students must be 18 years or older, enrolled in a HEC-recognized college or university, and possess a valid driving license or learner’s permit to qualify.

Monthly installment plans are structured as follows:
- Petrol Bike – Male Students: Rs 11,676
- Petrol Bike – Female Students: Rs 7,325
- Electric Bike: Estimated under Rs 10,000 per month
Applications exceeding the allotted number will be subject to e-balloting. A 50% quota is reserved for female students.
The distribution will begin in major cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Bahawalpur. Over 72,000 applications have already been received, according to the Punjab Transport Department.
The last date to apply is July 20, 2025. Students can register via the official Punjab government portal or at designated Bank of Punjab branches.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated that the program aims to improve student mobility, promote equal access to education, and support young women through inclusive transport solutions.
