Islamabad, June 6, 2025: Ghost of Yotei is shaping up to be one of the year’s most eagerly awaited video game releases, carrying forward the legacy of Ghost of Tsushima.
Set 300 years after the original, this new installment introduces a fresh lead character named Atsu. Unlike Jin Sakai, who fought to defend Tsushima, Atsu is driven entirely by revenge—a narrative twist that has fans intrigued and wanting to learn more about her past and motivations.
Though the game won’t be available until autumn, Sony enthusiasts were treated to a surprise preview during the June 4 State of Play.
Atsu will appear in Astro Bot next month, offering fans a lighthearted glimpse at the character ahead of her official debut. While the Astro Bot version of Atsu doesn’t reflect the intense warrior portrayed in trailers, it gives a fun introduction and a chance to explore hints of her personality.

July is set to be a big month for Ghost of Yotei, with a gameplay reveal planned by developer Sucker Punch alongside the Astro Bot update. The sequel introduces fresh elements like dual-katana combat and early firearm mechanics, which could signal a more dynamic style of play.
