The price of gold in Pakistan plummeted on Tuesday, following a sharp fall in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs. 14,000 to settle at Rs. 416,362, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs. 12,003 to Rs. 356,963. A day earlier, the per tola rate had already declined by Rs. 3,300 to Rs. 430,362.
In the international market, gold prices also recorded a steep decline, with the rate standing at $3,940 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a loss of $140, as reported by APGJSA.

Silver prices followed the same trend, decreasing by Rs. 173 to reach Rs. 4,924 per tola.
