Islamabad, Oct 17: Gold Price in Pakistan Hits Record High as International Prices Surge
The price of gold in Pakistan rose for the second consecutive day on Thursday and surged to a new all-time high.
Data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) shows that the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 600 to Rs. 238,254, while the price of 24 carats of gold increased by Rs. 700 per tola to Rs. 277,900.
The price of the precious metal broke the previous record of Rs. 277,000 per tola set in late September, rising by Rs. 2,200 per tola to reach a record high of Rs. 277,200.
After reaching a new high of $2,685.60, spot gold was up 0.2 percent to $2,678.13 per ounce by 0934 GMT on the international market. Additionally, US gold futures saw a 0.1 percent increase to $2,693.60.
