Gold price in Pakistan rose on Friday, tracking an increase in international bullion rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs. 424,162 after an uptick of Rs. 5,300 during the day.

Likewise, the price of 10-gram gold stood at Rs. 363,650, reflecting a rise of Rs. 4,544, according to figures issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

A day earlier, the per tola price had settled at Rs. 418,862 following a decrease of Rs. 1,000.

Meanwhile, silver also witnessed an upward trend, gaining Rs. 158 per tola to settle at Rs. 5,192.

In the international market, gold prices edged lower on Friday as the US dollar strengthened amid uncertainty regarding further Federal Reserve rate cuts. However, the precious metal remains on track for its third consecutive monthly gain.

Spot gold was down 0.5 percent at $4,004 per ounce at 0240 GMT, though it has still recorded an overall monthly increase of 3.9 percent.
