After two consecutive days of gains, both local and international gold prices recorded a major decline on Tuesday.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 3,500 per tola, bringing it down to Rs. 420,362. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs. 3,001, settling at Rs. 360,392.
In addition, silver prices declined by Rs. 130 per tola to reach Rs. 5,022.

On the global front, gold prices fell by $35 per ounce, with the precious metal trading at $3,980 per ounce in the international market.
The sharp drop follows a brief rally driven by global uncertainty and local currency fluctuations.
