Islamabad, Aug 29: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a modest decline following a remarkable run that saw it reach consecutive record highs. 24 carat gold was sold for Rs. 261,500 per tola on Thursday, down Rs. 2,200 from the previous trading day’s sale price of Rs. 263,700.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold dropped by Rs. 1,886 to Rs. 224,194 from Rs. 226,080, while the price of 10 grams of 22 carat gold dropped to Rs. 205,511 from Rs. 207,240.
The price of ten grams of silver and each tola of silver stayed at Rs. 2,529.14 and Rs. 2,950, respectively. According to the Association, the price of gold on the global market rose by $4, reaching $2,516 from $2,512.
