Islamabad, Aug 20: KARACHI: In keeping with the rise in global rates, gold prices in Pakistan reached a record high on Tuesday.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) released figures that show that the price of gold increased by Rs. 700 per tola to Rs. 260,700, while the price of 10-gram increased by Rs. 600 to close at Rs. 223,508.
Gold saw increases on the global market as well, with an increase in price of $19 to close at $2,374 per ounce.
In contrast, the price of silver per tola stayed at Rs 2,950. The price of gold fell by Rs200 on Monday, closing at Rs260,000.
