Islamabad, Sep 26: The price of gold in Pakistan reached Rs. 277,000, continuing on its unprecedented upward trajectory on Thursday.
The price of 24 carat gold climbed by Rs. 1,500 per tola to Rs. 277,700, while the price of 10 kilos jumped by Rs. 1,285 to Rs. 237,482, according to figures released by the Karachi Sarafa Association.
The price of gold increased by Rs. 2,500 per tola on Wednesday to reach an all-time high of Rs. 275,500 per tola, following a Tuesday increase of Rs. 1,100 per tola. At the time of filing, spot gold prices on the global market remained stable at $2,665 per ounce.
Since the beginning of the year, the price of gold has increased by almost Rs. 56,000 per tola, mostly as a result of rising international prices. Silver is still appealing in the interim at Rs. 3,050 per tola.
