Islamabad, Oct 23: Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan, Reaching Record High with Rs. 65,000 Increase Per Tola This Year. As the price of gold in Pakistan approached the Rs. 300,000 per tola milestone on Wednesday, it saw yet another significant surge.
The price of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs. 2,000 per tola to Rs. 285,400, while the price of 10 kilos jumped by Rs. 1,714 to Rs. 244,684, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of gold has increased in the local market for the sixth consecutive day, and each time it has reached a new high. After reaching an all-time high of $2,755.30 earlier in the day, spot gold was trading at $2,754.25 per ounce on the global market as of 07:48 GMT.
By the end of 2023, the price of gold in Pakistan was Rs. 220,000 per tola. Since then, it has gone up by around 30%, or Rs. 65,400 per tola.
