Islamabad, July 16, 2025: The rate of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 3,000 per tola and was sold at Rs. 356,000 on Wednesday, down from Rs. 359,000 on the previous trading session, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

It is important to note that this drop of Rs. 700 per tola came after four straight days of rising prices, during which gold became costlier by Rs. 8,200 per tola.

The cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also went down by Rs. 2,572 to reach Rs. 305,212 from Rs. 307,784. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined by Rs. 2,358 and was traded at Rs. 279,787 compared to the earlier rate of Rs. 282,145.

The prices of one tola and ten grams of silver stayed the same at Rs. 4,014 and Rs. 3,441 respectively.

In the global market, the gold price slipped by $30 to $3,335 from $3,365, while silver prices remained unchanged at $38.30, the Association added.
