Gold price in Pakistan surged to a fresh all-time high on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs. 442,800 per tola, marking an increase of Rs. 1,900, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of gold in Pakistan stood at Rs. 391,000 per tola on Sep 16, his means the price has surged by over Rs. 51,000 per tola in one month.

Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10-gram rose by Rs. 1,629, reaching Rs. 379,629, while 22-karat gold was quoted higher at Rs. 348,005 per 10-gram.
In contrast, silver rates remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs. 5,337 per tola and Rs. 4,575 per 10-gram.
On the international front, spot gold traded near $4,229 an ounce, up $20.2 or 0.48% from the previous session.
Gold prices climbed for a fifth consecutive session, touching a record high as investors sought safe-haven assets amid escalating trade tensions between the U.S. and China, a U.S. federal government shutdown, and growing expectations of interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.
