Islamabad, Aug 7, 2025: Pakistan’s fast-developing mobile gaming and software creation field has received a major boost internationally. Fasieh Mehta, a respected voice in the country’s digital scene and a long-time supporter of local creators, has officially joined Google as the Industry Lead for Mobile Apps & Gaming – Pakistan.

He will be based in Singapore at Google’s Asia-Pacific headquarters. Prior to this, Mehta held a position at Epic Games, where he represented Pakistan and helped promote the national gaming landscape beyond borders.

This development marks a growing global appreciation for Pakistan’s digital talent. Over recent years, creators from the country have launched a number of standout apps and popular games, drawing attention from leading global tech firms. Mehta’s appointment is more than personal recognition—it reflects Pakistan’s rising presence in the worldwide digital economy.

A source familiar with the recruitment said the role went through a competitive ten-month selection process, open to public applicants. Google followed its usual, strict hiring approach, including multiple evaluation rounds. Their goal was clear: to find someone who can drive Pakistan’s app and gaming space forward.

Speaking on LinkedIn, Mehta shared that the position allows him to support local developers with access to global knowledge, tools, and networks. “Pakistan is brimming with talent. The world just needs to see it,” he wrote in a personal message.

He also spoke fondly of previous visits to Google offices in cities like London and Dubai—always as a visitor, never as a team member. That changed this week.

Mehta’s message to Pakistan’s tech professionals is simple: his door is open for ideas, partnerships, and growth. For the country, this step signals something bigger—Pakistani talent is no longer just participating in tech, it’s helping shape it.
