Google has expanded its Opal AI app builder to 15 new countries, allowing users to create mini web apps using simple text prompts. The tool, first launched in the U.S., quickly became popular for its easy, no-code app creation.
The new rollout includes Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Singapore, Colombia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panamá, Honduras, Argentina, and Pakistan.
According to Megan Li, Senior Product Manager at Google Labs, user creativity exceeded expectations. “We saw people building advanced, useful apps—not just fun experiments,” she said, explaining why Google decided to expand access globally.
How Opal AI Works
Users describe the app they want, and Google Opal AI app builder automatically creates it. A visual editor shows each step, allowing easy edits and sharing with others through Google accounts.

Performance Upgrades
Google has improved Opal’s speed and debugging tools. App creation is now faster, with errors shown directly in the workflow for quick fixes. The process remains fully no-code, keeping it simple for non-technical users.
