Islamabad, Dec 25: The federal government has declared Wednesday, December 25, 2024, a public holiday to honor Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary and for Christmas celebrations. T As per the official notification, all government offices, financial institutions, and businesses will remain closed nationwide.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) confirmed that all banks, including commercial and other financial institutions, will also observe the holiday in alignment with the government’s announcement.
The country will celebrate Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary with respect and enthusiasm. The day will commence with gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals, followed by the ceremonial changing of the guard at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi. Various national and local events will highlight his invaluable contributions and his pivotal role in creating Pakistan.
In addition, numerous social, political, and non-governmental organizations have organized special programs to pay tribute to the founder of Pakistan, commemorating his vision, leadership, and enduring legacy.
