Islamabad, Aug 15: The government has initiated a major initiative to increase tourism in Murree by enlarging the main roadway that connects Rawalpindi, Murree, and Kashmir.
According to the facts, the project will build a 17-kilometer road that will connect Rawalpindi to Sunny Bank in Murree, with an estimated budget of PKR 1.2 billion. The e-tender technology has been used to release the construction work tenders, with August 17th as the deadline for submissions. The road building will take place in stages over the course of the next six months as part of the annual development program (ADP), with work starting concurrently from both ends of the route.
The expansion plan has a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability and calls for the planting of fruit trees and native pines in addition to fruit-bearing plants that honor the cultural legacy of the Pothohar region. To further ensure that tourists have access to energy-efficient amenities, the project will also include rest places with solar-powered lights.
