Islamabad, Nov 14: The federal government has announced that the application process for Hajj 2025 under the government scheme will begin on November 18, as confirmed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Interested pilgrims can submit their applications at designated banks between November 18 and December 3.
Those who already possess valid passports have an extended deadline until December 6.
The payment for Hajj will be made in three installments.
Applicants are required to pay an initial deposit of Rs. 200,000 when submitting their application.
If selected in the draw, a second payment of Rs. 400,000 will be needed, with the final balance due by February 10, 2025.
Additional charges may apply for sacrificial animals and for double or triple occupancy room options.
Priority will be given to first-time applicants under the regular government scheme, and the draw will take place on December 6.
The total estimated cost for Hajj ranges from Rs. 10,75,000 to Rs. 11,75,000.
Applicants must meet certain health criteria, including physical and mental fitness as required by Saudi regulations.
Only those born before February 12, 2013, are eligible to apply, and a medical certificate is mandatory.
Overseas Pakistanis can download the necessary medical certificate forms from the Ministry’s website.
Applicants who are in the process of obtaining a passport can submit a provisional or “token” application.
Women can now apply for Hajj without the need for a Mahram, but they must specify their family status on the application.
The entire application procedure, including fee submission, can be completed online, making it more accessible for applicants nationwide.
