Islamabad, Mar 14, 2025: The federal government has declared that wages and pensions for public sector employees will be distributed ahead of Eid festivities.
A formal notification regarding this matter has been issued by the Ministry of Finance.
According to sources within the ministry, Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan is anticipated to take place on either March 31 or April 1.
Considering this, authorities have resolved to process salary and pension payments in advance to facilitate government workers and pensioners during the festive season.

As outlined in the official statement, government employees will receive their salaries on March 27, while retired personnel will also have their pensions credited on the same date.
Additionally, the Ministry of Finance has directed the Controller General of Accounts to ensure the timely release of these payments, ensuring that all public servants and retirees have financial ease ahead of Eid celebrations.
