Pakistan government Hajj scheme has received 118,060 applications of Pilgrims in the country. The applications were supposed to be admitted on the basis of first-come, first-served and the applicants were to apply over a period of 17 days either online or using designated banks and they applied to those who will be making short and long trips to Hajj.

Applicants have made half upfront of their Hajj costs. This will be followed by tax collection (the remaining amount) beginning 1 November. The downward estimate of the total Hajj package under the government Hajj scheme is Rs1.15 million per pilgrim and the upward estimate is Rs1.25 million per pilgrim.

Officials made it clear that all the applications would be stepped through based on the date of application and successful entrants will be informed about their dates of Hajj trips in the near future.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs also continues to facilitate the ease of communication and arrange finances transparency with pilgrims using the govt Hajj scheme, so that the citizens could easily place their Hajj journey with the aid of structured support and advice.
