Islamabad, Aug 11, 2025: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has launched the second phase of applications for the government Hajj scheme, inviting pilgrims who missed the initial round to apply. This step comes as the first phase saw fewer applicants than expected, leaving a significant number of seats still open.

Official data reveals that only 60.3% of the total quota has been utilized so far. In the first six days, 71,286 pilgrims registered through designated banks, out of a total allocation of 118,210 seats under the scheme. This means 46,924 spots are still available for hopeful pilgrims.

Authorities have made it clear that once the quota reaches its limit, applications will no longer be accepted. Aspirants must submit their forms along with the first payment installment by August 16.

The initial payment for the long Hajj package is set at 500,000 Pakistani rupees, whereas the short Hajj package requires an advance of 550,000 rupees.

Moreover, overseas Pakistanis are eligible to apply through close family members residing in Pakistan. These applicants must provide a medical fitness certificate upon their return, ensuring health compliance for the sacred journey.
