Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was briefed on Monday that a new Womenpreneurship Platform is being launched to promote women’s participation in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector.

The initiative aims to support women entrepreneurs by providing them with tools and guidance for business growth.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the platform will use artificial intelligence to give women easy access to business-related information, registration services, tax guidance, and skill development resources. The move is part of the government’s broader plan to strengthen the SME ecosystem across the country.

During a review meeting on the restructuring of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and SME promotion, the prime minister appreciated the steps taken to increase women’s involvement in the business sector. “Awareness about this initiative should be expanded so more women can benefit from it,” he emphasized.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with the progress on SMEDA’s reorganization and directed that a clear timeline be set to ensure timely execution of all plans.
