The federal government has lifted the ban on the export of donkey hides, granting conditional permission for their export.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, only hides obtained from approved and registered slaughterhouses located in the Gwadar Free Zone will be allowed for export. The ministry has issued a formal notification, reversing the decision taken in 2015 to impose a ban.

Officials said that Pakistan already has export protocols with China covering both donkey meat and hides.
