State Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik Wednesday announced that the federal cabinet has lifted the ban on new domestic gas connections. New Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) connections will now be provided to make gas more accessible for the public.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said RLNG is cheaper than LPG. He also mentioned that bidding for local gas exploration is ongoing.

Federal Minister Tariq Fawad Chaudhry added that the cabinet has approved a climate and agricultural emergency.
A new policy is being prepared to tackle climate change, and the Prime Minister will soon meet all four provincial chief ministers.
