Islamabad, Nov 1: By requiring the installation of biometric machines at all airports nationwide, the government has made a major move to strengthen border security.
With this new policy, all overseas travelers must undergo biometric verification.
The implementation of biometric technology will be revolutionary in stopping wanted suspects from entering and leaving the nation, the Interior Ministry stressed. Travelers will be verified before boarding their aircraft at the biometric equipment that will be placed at international immigration counters.
Ministry officials claim that the biometric verification will guarantee efficient passenger screening. Additionally, they stated that this project was a component of a larger endeavor to bring the nation’s security systems into compliance with international norms.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been instructed by the Interior Ministry to make these adjustments immediately.
