Islamabad 10 August: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has directed the Foreign Office to reform and streamline visa procedures to better serve the Pakistani diaspora, investors, and business travellers.
This initiative aims to enhance transparency, speed up processing, and introduce digital tools at missions abroad.
Dar reviewed the visa facilitation reforms that were launched in 2024 and urged continued institutional improvements in consular services.
Officials reported measures under way include simplified application requirements, minimized delays, and upgraded digital capabilities
Fast-track visa issuance was highlighted as a key priority to strengthen economic engagement, diaspora ties, and business partnerships.
