The Finance Bill 2025–26 is set to receive the President’s approval today, bringing over 50 tax exemptions for numerous government bodies, welfare trusts, and global financial institutions.

Tax relief has been extended to corporatized branches of WAPDA, the Prime Minister’s Special Fund for victims of terrorism, the National Disaster Risk Management Fund, PM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund-2020, and the National Endowment Scholarship for Talent (NEST).

The bill further offers exemptions to entities such as the SECP, Privatisation Commission, Audit Oversight Board, Army Welfare Trust, Supreme Court Water Conservation Account, and Balochistan Education Endowment Fund.

Retirement benefits for a former president and his spouse will now be free from taxation, along with various national bodies including the State Bank of Pakistan, SBP Banking Services Corporation, FBR Foundation, Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, WAPDA, and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council.
