Islamabad, Jan 21: The federal government has decided to ascertain the sources of income of those pilgrims who are going to perform Hajj 2025 under private schemes.
the Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed private tour operators to share details of those pilgrims who are going on Hajj 2025 with the above Rs. 3 million package.
The Religious Affairs shall forward the credentials of these pilgrims to FBR, law enforcement agencies, and the Hajj Policy Formulation Committee (HPFC) for clearance.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also appointed a focal person who will make scrutiny of pilgrims’ credentials spending above Rs. 3 million on Hajj.

Sources said that there will be no restrictions on taking a private Hajj package worth more than Rs. 3 million but all data will be given to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the FBR, which can conduct its own investigation even after performing Hajj.
The Government of Pakistan’s Hajj package for 2025 is estimated to cost between Rs. 1,075,000 and Rs. 1,175,000. On the other hand, the private tour operators have introduced around 9 different packages, which start from Rs. 1.07 million.
