Egypt welcomed the world with the grand international Grand Egyptian Museum Opening near the iconic Giza Pyramids, marking a major cultural moment in modern history. The event highlighted Egypt’s deep-rooted civilization and its ongoing role as a global center of heritage and knowledge.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and First Lady Entissar El-Sisi led the ceremony, joined by high-level representatives from across the globe. Over 79 international delegations—including presidents, prime ministers, and officials from major global organizations—attended, showcasing the museum’s worldwide cultural importance.
Now recognized as the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single ancient civilization, the Grand Egyptian Museum houses more than 100,000 artifacts spanning thousands of years. One of its most celebrated exhibitions is the complete collection of King Tutankhamun’s treasures, displayed together for the first time in a modern, immersive environment that honors both history and innovation.
During his speech, President El-Sisi highlighted the museum as a symbol of Egypt’s cultural identity, resilience, and commitment to peace. The opening reinforces Egypt’s mission to preserve heritage while promoting global understanding and tourism.
