Lahore is taking another big step toward sustainable public transport as the city prepares to launch 35 new electric buses on a brand-new green electric bus route Lahore.

According to transport officials, these buses will soon operate along Canal Road, covering the busy stretch from Thokar to Jallo Mor. The buses are expected to arrive next week, with regular operations officially starting in the first week of October. A special inauguration ceremony has also been planned to mark the launch of this new service.

At present, the city already has 27 electric buses running on the existing green bus route from Green Town to Railway Station. The addition of the Canal Road service will help expand Lahore’s eco-friendly network, reduce traffic pressure, and provide citizens with a modern and affordable travel option.

The green electric bus route Lahore initiative is part of a broader plan to improve urban mobility and cut down on harmful emissions. With this expansion, Lahore is moving closer to its vision of a cleaner, greener, and more efficient public transport system.
