For crossover and SUV lover, HAVAL H6 is more than a vehicle. It’s a brand under the umbrella of Great Wall Motors (GWM) from China. Once China’s famous SUV is still making waves in Pakistani local market with its petrol and hybrid offerings.
Expected Changes
Dimension
The current Haval H6, part of the C-segment, has been around since 2020. But now, it’s to get a new look. The latest teaser released by the company gives us a glimpse of what to expect: a fresh design and some changes in dimensions. The most noticeable change is the increase in length by 50 mm, now measuring at 4703 mm.
Design Language
One of the significant alterations is the revamped front design. Last year, the grille underwent a transformation, opting for a more enclosed look. However, this year, the large grille makes a comeback, accompanied by striking light strips extending from the headlights. At the rear, the through strip lights are replaced with a more traditional light cluster arrangement.
Power
In terms of performance, the powertrains are expected to remain largely unchanged. Customers can still expect the choice between a 1.5T engine with 135 kW power paired with a 7-speed wet dual clutch gearbox or a 170 kW 2.0T with a 7-speed dual clutch unit. Additionally, hybrid and PHEV versions might also be available.
The Haval H6 has been a success story in China, ranking as the sixth best-selling SUV in 2023 with impressive sales figures. With this facelift, Great Wall Motors aims to maintain its momentum in the market. Export plans are also on the horizon, with the Haval H6 being sold in various developing markets in Asia, South Africa, and Australia.
