The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has issued a revised curriculum for Business and Management Studies degree programs after a comprehensive review carried out by the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC).
The review meeting took place at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, and included senior academics and subject experts from universities across the country. The process was facilitated by HEC’s Curriculum Division, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
The updated curriculum applies to BBA, BS, MBA, EMBA, MS, and Associate Degree programs in Business and Management. It has been developed to reflect emerging industry trends, evolving market needs, and international academic standards.

HEC said the new framework aligns with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and its Undergraduate and Graduate Education Policies 2023, ensuring greater consistency, quality and relevance in business education nationwide.
The NCRC session was chaired by Dr. Naukhez Sarwar, Professor and Principal at NUST Business School, as Convener, and Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost at KSBL Karachi, as Co-Convener. The meeting was coordinated by Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director, who served as Secretary of the Committee.
