Islamabad, Mar 5, 2025: The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has introduced HEC syllabus for Political Science, Islamic Studies, Remote Sensing & GIS, and Architecture.
The National Curriculum Review Committees (NCRCs), comprising distinguished academics, senior educators, researchers, and industry professionals, developed these HEC syllabus updates.
According to an official statement released by HEC on Monday, these modifications aim to enhance academic excellence, meet industry requirements, and align with evolving market trends.
The curriculum review process was led by prominent experts: Prof. Dr. Muqarrab Akbar oversaw Political Science, Prof. Dr. Shah Mohyuddin Hashmi supervised Islamic Studies, Prof. Dr. Attaur Rahman managed Remote Sensing & GIS, and Mohammad Arif Changazi directed the Architecture curriculum revisions.
HEC Deputy Director Hidayatullah Kasi played a pivotal role in coordinating these sessions as Secretary.
The updated curricula focus on essential aspects such as course nomenclature, admission criteria, learning outcomes, course structures, academic objectives, degree prerequisites, and elective choices.
