Islamabad, June 10, 2025: Toyota is gearing up to unveil the 2025 model of its popular Prius in Pakistan. Tailored for drivers who prioritize fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness, the new Prius is ideal for both city and long-distance travel.
Estimated Price Range and Variants
Though official pricing hasn’t yet been disclosed by Toyota Pakistan, industry insiders suggest the following ex-factory price estimates. Keep in mind that actual showroom costs may vary slightly due to dealer commissions and local taxation.
- 1.8L HEV (U Variant – Base Model): Rs. 1.20 crore
- 2.0L HEV (G/Z Variants – Mid Tier): Rs. 1.25–1.28 crore
- Prius Z Plug-in Hybrid (Top Tier): Up to Rs. 1.65 crore
Hybrid Engine and Fuel Efficiency
The Prius comes equipped with Toyota’s signature hybrid system, which blends a 1.8-litre petrol engine producing 72 kW with an electric motor outputting 53 kW. Both units work together via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). A more powerful 2.0-litre hybrid version is also available for those who seek extra performance.
Fuel economy ranges between 24 to 31 km per litre, making it highly suitable for budget-conscious daily drivers. The lower mileage represents sportier driving, while the upper end highlights its efficiency in smooth cruising.
