The Punjab government is set to begin Phase III of the Himmat Card program with a special distribution ceremony taking place tomorrow in Rawalpindi Division. Under this phase persons with disabilities will receive assistive devices that can improve their daily mobility and independence. The devices include motorized wheelchairs three wheel motorbikes manual wheelchairs and other supportive equipment based on personal needs and medical recommendations. The event will also include the issuance of new Himmat Cards to eligible beneficiaries. The Himmat Card provides quarterly financial assistance to individuals who are unable to earn a livelihood due to disability. This support helps them manage essential expenses and maintain dignity in their daily lives.
Distribution of Assistive Devices
The assistive devices will be distributed to individuals selected from across Rawalpindi Division. These include residents of Rawalpindi Attock Chakwal and Jhelum. Each beneficiary has been assessed to ensure that the device they receive matches their physical needs. This step ensures that support is practical and meaningful rather than symbolic. Motorised wheelchairs and three wheel motorbikes will help individuals travel independently. Manual wheelchairs will assist those with limited movement while other aids such as hearing devices and artificial limbs will support accessibility and daily functioning.

Financial Support Under Himmat Card
The Himmat Card is a key part of the Punjab government’s social support system for persons with disabilities. Each approved card holder receives ten thousand five hundred rupees every three months. This amount can be used for food medication education transport or other daily needs.
The government aims to expand the number of beneficiaries in this new phase ensuring that more individuals in need are reached and supported. Priority is given to those who are unable to earn due to physical limitations and to women who require special assistance.
