Islamabad, March 28: Millions of devoted Muslims assembled at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on the revered 27th night of Ramadan, seeking the divine blessings of Laylat Al-Qadr.
This spiritually significant night saw a record-breaking turnout at the Grand Mosque, with over 4.2 million worshippers uniting in prayer, engaging in Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers to seek mercy, forgiveness, and divine rewards.
To facilitate a smooth and organized experience, authorities meticulously coordinated crowd management and logistical arrangements.
The Mataf area, designated for Tawaf (circumambulation) around the Kaaba, was efficiently managed to accommodate an astounding 107,000 pilgrims per hour.
Additionally, all facilities within the mosque were optimized to ensure accessibility and comfort.

This included the operation of 428 escalators and 28 elevators, enabling seamless movement for worshippers.
Cutting-Edge Audio System
A cutting-edge audio system, equipped with 1,300 high-quality speakers, delivered the melodious recitation of prayers and Quranic verses throughout the mosque.
To provide a comfortable environment for the large gathering, an advanced cooling system with a capacity of 90,000 tons was activated.
Moreover, medical centers and healthcare units were fully operational, offering immediate assistance when needed.

Laylat Al-Qadr, regarded as “better than a thousand months,” holds profound significance in Islamic teachings and is fervently sought during the final ten nights of Ramadan, with special emphasis on the 27th night.
Worshippers dedicate this sacred time to prayer, reflection, and supplication, seeking divine mercy, guidance, and immense spiritual rewards.
