Islamabad, July 21, 2025: In a significant boost to Pakistan’s automotive export landscape, Honda Atlas has dispatched a second shipment of 38 locally assembled Honda City 1.2L units to Japan. This marks another strategic milestone in showcasing Pakistan’s evolving capacity in automobile manufacturing.
Earlier this year in April 2025, the company made headlines by exporting its first batch of 40 Honda City cars to Japan. The move was widely hailed as a breakthrough for Pakistan’s presence in the global auto supply chain. With this second consignment, Honda reinforces its position as a serious player in international markets.
According to industry insiders, the successful export of Honda City 1.2L reflects not only improved production capabilities at Honda Atlas’s local facilities but also growing trust in the quality and reliability of Pakistan-assembled vehicles.
Company executives stated that these shipments are part of a broader initiative to enhance global outreach and contribute to Pakistan’s auto industry exports, which are still in their infancy compared to regional players.
The development aligns with a recent trend of local car manufacturers expanding beyond domestic borders. In 2023, Toyota Indus exported 50 units including the Fortuner, Corolla Cross, and IMV series, while Changan Pakistan shipped its Oshan X7 SUV to East African markets like Kenya and Tanzania.
