Islamabad, Mar 12, 2025: HTC has introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone, the Wildfire E5 Plus, although it is manufactured by an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) rather than HTC itself. Despite its entry-level specifications, the device boasts a stylish design and a sizable display at an affordable price.
Display and Design
The Wildfire E5 Plus comes with a 6.75-inch display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate and 720p+ resolution. While HTC has not officially disclosed the panel type, it is expected to be an IPS LCD.
The device incorporates a waterdrop-style notch at the top, housing the front-facing camera and contributing to a sleek, modern aesthetic.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T606 chipset, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users can expand storage further using a microSD card slot.
However, the processor does not support 5G, meaning the device is limited to 4G connectivity.
The phone runs on Android 14, which, although not the latest version, still offers an up-to-date user experience with useful features.
Camera Setup
On the back, the Wildfire E5 Plus is equipped with a dual-camera system, including a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for enhanced portrait photography.
Meanwhile, the front-facing camera inside the notch is 16MP, providing decent selfie quality for an entry-level smartphone.
Battery and Pricing
The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring extended usage on a single charge. However, HTC has not specified details regarding charging speed, which suggests it may offer standard charging rather than fast charging.
Initially launched in Vietnam, the Wildfire E5 Plus carries a price tag of $93.
