Islamabad, Aug 11, 2025: Huawei Mate 80 is set to make waves with a built-in cooling fan design unlike anything seen in mainstream smartphones. The fan will be integrated directly into the large circular camera island, placed in the lower half of the module.
This creative setup blends efficient heat control with a clean, stylish look, ensuring both performance and design appeal. While some models like the Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro have used cooling fans before, Huawei’s method takes a fresh, more refined direction.
As per details, the air intake will be positioned on the side of the camera island instead of the phone’s edge. This keeps the Huawei Mate 80 sleek profile intact while improving airflow. The company is currently fine-tuning the design for a release later this year.

Even with the fan, the Mate 80 Pro will maintain water resistance. The fan will be waterproof, small, and high-speed, using mini fins for better heat release. This engineering push aims to balance durability, performance, and elegance in one package.
Huawei faces unique challenges with this concept but is determined to make it work without losing its premium look. Smartphone fans are watching closely to see how this system performs in everyday use. If successful, the Mate 80 could set a new trend for cooling in high-end devices.
